The Mishmeret Hakashrut organization is a kosher organization established by four rabbis with extensive experience in the fields of institutional kashrut, and is supervised by a professional committee of rabbis and with the blessing of leading rabbis in Israel.

The standards of kosher abroad with an emphasis on tourism (hotels, restaurants, and cruises) are absolutely problematic! Anyone can write a Kosher certificate – including the business owner himself!

 The organization was founded by four rabbis who gained many years of experience in providing kosher abroad, and aspire to produce a high-quality standard for kosher for tourism abroad. When there is A Kosher certificate of “Mishmeret Hakashrut”, you can certainly rely on a high-quality and reliable kosher standard.

The four rabbis who are the founders of “Mishmeret Hakashrut” organization have gained a lot of experience in providing kashrut for hotels and cruises abroad, as well as have professional knowledge in operating an institutional kitchen. Among our clients are well-known tourism companies all over the world.

“Mishmeret Hakashrut” has chosen to subordinate itself to an independent committee of rabbis that determines the rules of supervision  and audits the activities of the organization. All of the organization’s activities are subject to the supervision of the rabbis. The chairman of the rabbinical committee is Rabbi Moshe Biegel, rabbi of the local council of Mietar, Israel, a well-known kosher expert.

Excellent question, there are those who would define kosher – a place\vacation with a kosher certificate – what are the standards and reputation of that certificate? There are those who will write “fish meal”, and there are those who will write “A meal based on permitted products” – each sentence has a great significance on the level of kashrut, if any, of the meal/product.
Therefore it is impossible to know! In order to be sure that the vacation is indeed kosher, you must contact a kosher organization that will give full responsibility for each and every component of the vacation.
